PUBLIC LAW 94-145—DEC. 12, 1975 89 STAT. 801 Public Law 94-145 94th Congress An Act To amend the Sherman Antitrust Act to provide lower prices for consumers. Uec. 12, 1975 [H.R. 6971] Be it enacted hy the Senate and House of Representatwes of the United States of America in Congress assembled^ That this Act may Consumer (roods be cited as the "Consumer Goods Pricing Act of 1975". Pricing Act of SEC. 2. Section 1 of the Act entitled "An Act to protect trade and 1975. commerce against unlawful restraints and monopolies", approved 15 u s e 1 note. July 2, 1890 (15 U.S.C. 1), is amended by striking out the colon pre- ceding the first proviso in the first sentence and all that follows down through the end of such sentence and inserting in lieu thereof a period. SEC. 3. Paragraphs (2) through (5) of section 5(a) of the Federal Repeal. Trade Commission Act (15 U.S.C. 45 (a)) are repealed and paragraph (6) of such section 5(a) is redesignated as paragraph (2). SEC. 4. The amendments made by sections 2 and 3 of this Act shall Effective dale. take effect upon the expiration of the ninety-day period which begins 15 u s e 1 note. on the date of enactment of this Act.
